Quality Engineer
Job Description:
This role will not only ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across all production processes but also take a leading role in the coordination and documentation for ISO 9001:2015 certification preparation and compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with raw materials such as carbon fiber plastic composites and paint processes and be adept at working within a manufacturing environment to improve product quality and process efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial Mechanical or related fields) or equivalent technical qualification. (Titled or Cedule)
- Certification as an Internal Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) and Core Tools certified (e.g. FMEA SPC MSA APQP PPAP).
- Green Belt or Yellow Belt course/certification.
- Valid Visa and Passport.
- Advanced English.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in quality systems (ISO 9001:2015 IATF 16949) and quality management tools (FMEA SPC MSA APQP PPAP).
- Hands-on experience with molding plastic composites painting processes and materials such as carbon fiber.
- Experience with implementing ISO certification systems and maintaining quality standards across the production process.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and the use of process control tools (e.g. Minitab SPC software).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage ISO documentation including policies procedures and records.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with ISO standards leading internal audits and tracking corrective actions.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that all quality control processes align with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and are operating effectively.
- Administer and manage the calibration program to ensure measurement and testing equipment meet established accuracy standards.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify and implement quality improvements in product designs and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct quality inspections at various stages of production to validate compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions ensuring their effectiveness in addressing internal and customer quality concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying statistical process control (SPC) and analyzing quality trends to optimize production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes monitor KPIs and achieve operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and control plan meetings to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular quality inspections during production to ensure all customer specifications and industry standards are met.
- Address customer complaints and lead efforts to investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D 5 Whys).
- Coordinate and track internal audits to ensure quality control processes are effective and compliant.
- Maintain accurate records for quality inspections audits corrective actions and calibration activities.
- Generate detailed quality reports and track performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and communicating findings to senior management.
- Develop and maintain control plans to ensure products meet quality standards throughout their lifecycle.
- Provide training and mentorship to production teams quality inspectors and supervisors on quality standards inspection tools and process improvements.
- Develop training materials focused on quality control safety regulations and best practices in process optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss quality risks implement mitigation strategies and drive quality assurance goals.
