Description
We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to hospitals in Dansville. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring quality patient care and maintaining the smooth operation of healthcare facilities. As a Locum Hospitalist you will be involved in a variety of medical cases and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the communitys health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor and manage patient progress and medical records.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and staff members.
- Stay updated on medical best practices and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Valid medical license in the state of practice.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in Internal Medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and be part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Flexibility to adapt to different hospital settings and patient populations.
Schedule: 7a-7p shifts
No call shifts
Average Daily Census: 25-30 patients
Number of Beds: 34 med/surg beds 8 ICU beds
Support Staff: MD APP & subspecialties
ED Volume: 16k annually
Will respond to codes
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
