Allergy and Asthma Associates is seeking an Entry-Level Medical Assistant to join our team in San Jose. As a Medical Assistant in our Hospital/Health Care industry you will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This is a full-time position that requires on-site presence offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimens appropriately
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
