Job Summary
Santos Tax is a leading tax preparation and accounting firm dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to prepare and review tax returns financial statements and other accounting documents for our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Tax Preparation: Prepare and review individual and business tax returns includingand 1065 forms.
2. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
3. Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
4. Audits and Reviews: Assist with audits and reviews including preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
5. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather information explain tax and accounting concepts and provide exceptional customer service.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other accountants tax preparers and staff members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
7. Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with tax law changes accounting standards and industry developments.
Requirements
1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting: Minimum educational requirement.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Preferred but not required.
3. Accounting Experience: 2 years of accounting experience preferably in a public accounting firm.
4. Tax Preparation Experience: Experience with tax preparation software such as Drake or Lacerte.
5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex tax and accounting concepts to clients.
7. Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and accounting software.
