About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a strong foundation in time series forecasting and predictive modeling. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and validating models that support business planning demand forecasting and strategic decision-making. You will work with large datasets apply statistical rigor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and actionable forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Apply regression classification and time series analysis to solve business problems.
- Conduct A/B testing and hypothesis testing to validate model performance and business impact.
- Perform data preprocessing feature engineering and model tuning using Python libraries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand forecasting needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Communicate insights and model outputs through clear visualizations and presentations.
Preferred Skills & Tool Stack:
- Programming Languages: Python (strong proficiency in NumPy Pandas Scikit-learn)
- Forecasting Techniques: ARIMA SARIMA Prophet Exponential Smoothing Machine Learning-based forecasting
- Modeling Skills: Regression Classification Time Series Modeling
- Statistical Analysis: A/B Testing Hypothesis Testing Confidence Intervals
- Bonus: Experience with SQL visualization tools (e.g. Matplotlib Seaborn) cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and deployment frameworks
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or a related field.
- 1 5 years of experience in data science with a focus on forecasting or predictive analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
