We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Teque ero to join our food production team. The Teque ero will be responsible for preparing assembling and cooking teque os (traditional Venezuelan/Latin cheese sticks) ensuring high standards of quality consistency and hygiene. This role requires attention to detail the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong commitment to food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare dough fillings and ingredients according to company recipes and production standards.
Roll assemble and shape teque os consistently in size and quality.
Operate kitchen equipment (mixers fryers ovens) safely and efficiently.
Cook and/or package teque os for retail catering or restaurant service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen/production area.
Follow food safety regulations and company hygiene protocols (HACCP standards).
Assist in inventory control by monitoring ingredient usage and reporting shortages.
Work as part of a team to meet daily/weekly production targets.
Support quality control by checking finished products for taste presentation and freshness.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food preparation bakery pastry or kitchen production preferred.
Knowledge of Latin cuisine or Venezuelan food traditions an asset.
Ability to follow recipes instructions and portion standards accurately.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
Physical ability to stand for long periods lift up to 25 30 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexible to work evenings weekends or holidays if required.
Work Conditions
Fast-paced kitchen or food production setting.
Exposure to heat cooking oils and food ingredients.
Shift work may be required.
