Physical Therapist Assistant-Contract Role Location: Stuart FL 34997
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duration: 13-week contract
Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week
Weekly Pay: $864 $960; (Negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Assist with mobility training including transfers and gait training
- Observe and report patient progress and any concerns
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
Requirements:
- Associates Degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
- Current BLS certification (required).
- Previous clinical experience preferred (SNF outpatient or inpatient).
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow PTs plan of care.
