CNA SNF

Duties:

• Under direct supervision of a licensed Nurse or other professional medical staff in a health care setting performs a variety of clerical and health-related duties associated with patient care; performs related work.
• Assists with physical care of selected patients.
• Performs assigned procedures such as changing of simple dressings taking vital signs giving enemas etc.
• Records personal care given.
• Prepares patient for examination by performing assigned procedures such as temperature pulse respiration height weight and measurements and assists in the examination process and records findings on patient chart.
• Observes patients and/or families condition mental state and social behavior.
• Reports observations.
• Participates in nursing and interdisciplinary health team conferences to assess patients and families needs and to plan nursing care programs.
• Assists in recreational remotivational and resocialization activities of nursing care programs.
• Sets up and arranges examining room.
• Assists clinic in admission procedures and in regulation of visitors. Cares for patients clothing and property.
• Prepares patients for meals and helps feed them as necessary.
• Changes linen and makes beds. Keeps wards utility and treatment rooms in a neat and orderly condition.
• Provides postmortem care.

Required Skills & Experience:

• One (1) year of Nursing Home experience.
• Long term care facility located in Staten Island.
• Recent nurisng home experience required.
• Staten Island residents high preferred.

Required Education:

• Graduate of an approved CNA program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Certified Nurse Aide thru Nurse Aide Registry (Prometrics).
• NYS CNA Certification
• Primary Source Verification.
• AHA BLS.

Schedule Notes:

• Every weekend required.
• Friday Saturday and Sunday only 3pm-11:30pm.
