Summary:
-
Design and optimize manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies equipment installation machining and material handling.
-
Plan plant layouts to ensure efficient machine arrangements and productive workflows.
-
Define sequences of operations and specify tooling/equipment requirements to maximize product performance.
-
Adapt machine and equipment designs to factory and production conditions.
-
Integrate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
-
Monitor machinery equipment and tools for efficiency; investigate deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
-
Develop processes aligned with statistical process control (SPC) methods.
-
Provide input to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize manufacturability.
-
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation and process improvements.
-
Program and integrate industrial robots (e.g. Fanuc Epson) into existing systems using PLC expertise.
-
Optimize and maintain automated production lines for maximum uptime throughput and quality.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or related engineering field.
-
5 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferably in high-volume low-mix environments.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing Six Sigma and SPC methodologies.
-
Experience in machine design equipment installation and material handling.
-
Robotics and automation experience including industrial robot programming and integration.

PLC programming expertise.
-
Strong analytical problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
-
Certification in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing or SPC preferred.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
