What Youll Do:
- Perform responsible and confidential secretarial work and administrative duties for attorneys.
- Attend client meetings with attorneys (both on- and off-site) to witness and assist with client documents.
- Transcribe legal briefs correspondence letters and confidential memoranda.
- Draft and type a variety of legal documents from rough or oral drafts.
- Conduct court e-filings and manage attorney schedules meetings and appointments.
- Assist with travel arrangements reimbursements and internal correspondence.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail ensure timely delivery and manage billing sheets.
- Maintain confidential legal and administrative files for attorneys.
- Proactively support other attorneys and legal assistants within the office.
- Manage contacts in Outlook and other communication platforms efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 5 years of experience as a legal assistant.
- Typing speed of at least 70 words per minute.
- Strong knowledge of legal office practices legal documents terminology and court procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Word Outlook Excel redline comparisons and digital dictation software (e.g. BigHand).
- Excellent proofreading skills attention to detail and oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $70000 $75000 annually depending on experience.
