Description:

Were seeking an experienced Programming Manager to join the Video Programming team for a 5-month engagement.
This contractor will contribute to PV Content assessments across Originals Licensed Content Sports and Live Events supporting our team in combining data-driven decision-making with creative insight to shape Prime Videos

content slate.
Ideal role for a strategic thinker who can balance data-driven insights with creative judgment and a passion for entertainment.
You have a deep understanding of audience behavior and content performance metrics.
Youre comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to high-impact decisions that affect both short and long-term business success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Proven track record of data-driven decision making in entertainment
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
Previous contract experience in a similar role preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in streaming/OTT platforms
Programming strategy background in television or digital content
Familiarity with Consumer Insights and background in Data Analysis
Strong understanding of audience behavior and content performance metrics

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy & Evaluation
Support strategic assessment of client Original Movies Series and Live Events
Assist in greenlight evaluations for Programming
Ensure upcoming content aligns with overall programming strategy for PV
Navigate complex decision-making combining creative elements with data insights

Forecasting & Performance Analysis

Support title-level forecasting at annual planning cycles
Provide forecast adjustment recommendations based on performance signals
Analyze data sources to refine prediction models
Contribute to service-level metric improvements

Project Collaboration

Work with Studios and Prime Video Marketing teams on title intake and prioritization
Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects

Business group: PV Streaming

Leads the programming strategy
Work on design strategy; release date audience type etc

Typical Day in the Role:

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 40hrs a week NOOT

Typical day:

25% evaluating content; new titles comparing content etc.
25% working on the schedule when content should be launched
25% tracking calendars to make sure timeline is up to date
25% communication streamlines between teams

Interaction:

1-2 weekly team meetings
1:1 with HM

Remote/extension:

Chance to be remote but prefer local to Culver City CA No conversion or extension at the moment
