Hello all

Role: - AS 400 Lead

Mode of Work: - Remote

Type: Contract

Terms: W2

Need resources who are willing to work on PST hours

Technical skills (Must Have )

5 years of experience with IBMi /iSeries
Proficiency in RPGLE/ Free format RPG. SQLRPGLE DB2 Control language Data Queue SQL Complex Query.
Proficiency in DDS (Data Description Specifications) for screen design Including SUBFILEs.
REST APIs: Understanding of RESTful API design principles and how to design and build RESTful APIs (POST/GET/PUT) using JSON.
Service Programs: Utilize service programs to enhance the functionality of your IBM i applications.
Modular Design: Break older RPG400 code down into more modular reusable RPG ILE modules.
Code developer tools (Rational developer for i )
Experience with version control systems /SCM tools (Aldon/Turnover/ARCAD prefer)

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge about Webservice Application Manager tool (IBMi Websphere) /Insomnia/Postman
Working knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP)
Knowledge of system management commands.
Acquainted with Integration with modern UIs (e.g. REST APIs JavaScript frontends)
Exposure to IBM i Navigator or ACS (Access Client Solutions)
Exposure to cloud platforms integration like AWS integration

Soft skills

Domain Knowledge of P&C Insurance prefers.
Documentation Skills (Design /Unit test)
Working hours PST preferably but any US time zone is fine. Should be ready to support on weekends/holiday if there is a production issue
