Job Description
Job Title: Sr GCP Data Engineer
Onsite / Hybrid (2 of days in office) in Houston TX
Duration: 12 Months
Experience: 8 - 12 years
Job Summary: As a Sr Consultant you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud technologies to drive impactful data solutions. You will work in a hybrid model collaborating with teams to design implement and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions. Your role will involve using tools like GITHUB Cloud Pub/Sub Datastream Python Big Query and Google Cloud Big Data to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies to support business analytics needs.
Oversee the integration of data from various sources using Cloud Pub/Sub and Datastream to ensure seamless data flow.
Provide technical expertise in Python to develop and maintain data processing scripts that enhance data quality and accessibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Optimize BigQuery queries and data models to improve performance and reduce costs for data analytics.
Ensure the security and compliance of data solutions by implementing best practices in data governance and management.
Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and address any issues promptly.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure by evaluating new tools and technologies. -
Support the deployment of data solutions in a hybrid work model ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Engage with stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and reporting.
Drive innovation by exploring new data sources and techniques to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Qualifications - - Possess strong experience in GITHUB for version control and collaboration in software development.
Demonstrate proficiency in Cloud Pub/Sub and Datastream for real-time data streaming and integration.
Exhibit expertise in Python programming for data processing and automation tasks.
Have in-depth knowledge of BigQuery and Google Cloud Big Data for data warehousing and analytics.
Show familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools for building scalable data solutions.
Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Bring a minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related fields with a focus on cloud technologies.
