Job Description
Ensuring Charts Success
Howden a Chart Industries Company is a global leader in air and gas handling products services and solutions. Howdens core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and has over a century of experience in doing so.
Howden South Africa Division is looking for an experienced Planner- Fixed Term contract 6 months to do planning and tracking of projects on various customers sites and arranging balancing and alignment jobs.
What Will You Do
- Initialise assignments interpret scopes and clarify issues. Design bar charts to meet specifications and approval of all parties concerned.
- Tracking of progress- Conduct visual progress inspections to verify progress as reported by site staff discuss with site staff problems potential problems risks trends and plan around obstacles. Escalate issues where applicable.
- Accordingly update bar charts. Discuss changes progress and obstacles with clients and contractors. Update inform and give feedback. Escalate issues where applicable.
- Analyses Progress obstacles changes risks and trends to the effect that corrective action can be made pro-actively where applicable and provide feedback to management.
- On request arrange and plan alignment and balancing assignments.
- Liaise with own staff and contractors schedule work assignment administration and record keeping.
- At all times adhere to procedures instructions quality safety standards and certification requirements.
- SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls.
Your Experience Should Be...
Grade 12.
Planning Diploma or a Technical qualification.
3-5 years experience as a planner
Proficiency in MS Project & Primavera.
Technical project planning and problem-solving experience.
Attention to detail.
Clear communicator (Oral and Written).
Good interpersonal skills
Adapting to situational demands adapts quickly to change.
Computer Literacy in MS Word and Excel
Drivers Licence
