Senior Commercial Lines Broker (Mississauga)

Hybrid position

Our client is looking for someone that we hope can really hit the ground running in our Traditional Commercial Department. This department handles Mid Market Accounts. There is a lot of variety and it is a fast-paced team that prides itself on having double digit growth for the past 3 years.

They do not have commissioned producers in their office so the Brokers in this department take on some additional client relationship building responsibilities once they have a good feel for the role. The role is primarily in-house with most client interaction over the phone and email.

Position Overview

Handling policy renewals as assigned (including preparation review and negotiation with insurers as required)
Servicing existing customers with inquiries and changes as required
Processing certificates renewals and endorsements
Rating and issuing of new business for exclusive programs
Follow ups with clients and insurance companies for required information and documents
Accounts receivables
Claim reporting and follow-up
Any other as duties as may come up on a day to day basis

Position Requirements

3 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience in a brokerage setting (TSR experience not included)
Valid RIBO license
Exceptional client service skills
Strong analytical organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Strong team player ability to adapt to and work cooperatively with various individuals
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with Applied Epic is an asset
