Job Summary
The Athletics Department is seeking a motivated and dependable Student Assistant to support the Sports Nutrition program. This position is limited to students who are Federal Work-Study eligible and offers hands-on experience in fueling strategies nutrition services and athletic support.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with pre- and post-training fueling for various athletic teams
- Stock and replenish fuel station supplies
- Perform cleaning duties and maintain organization of nutrition areas
- Assist with inventory management and supply tracking
- Collaborate with fellow student assistants and athletics staff
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Sports Nutrition staff
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
- Must be a current Lamar University student
- Must be Federal Work-Study eligible (upload proof of award acceptance from Banner)
- Availability to work 25 days per week 34 hours per shift
- Willingness to work early morning shifts
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality and departmental dress code policies
- Strong work ethic; dependable professional and motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in Sports Nutrition or related healthcare field
- Nutrition & Dietetics major preferred
- Previous experience in athletics nutrition or health-related fields
