Job Title: Senior Developer (ICE sector) Full Stack (Java JavaScript and BTP CAP BAS)

What youll build

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (Lead Engineer) to join our SAP SuccessFactors Skills Engineering this pivotal role youll help shape and deliver the next generation of Skill features in Human Capital Management across our web and backend applications. Your contributions will drive a scalable high-performance product and exceptional user experience. This is a hands-on role working across the full tech stack alongside cross-functional teams with a strong focus on cloud-native development.

  • Architect design and implement new features using Java and the existing technology stack in an agile team environment.
  • Develop robust services using Java Spring and REST with deployment via Docker Kubernetes and cloud-native CI/CD tools.
  • Partner with developers architects and cross-functional scrum teams leading by example.
  • Deliver scalable distributed systems and ensure secure cloud-compliant deployments with practices like zero-downtime releases canary deployments and feature toggles.
  • Collaborate with engineering program management to meet compliance security and infrastructure requirements.
  • Build deep expertise in the compensation module and its legacy systems contributing enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Drive the full development lifecycle from requirement analysis and architectural planning to development testing and delivery.
  • Explore areas of specialization aligned with your interests: full-stack engineering DevOps software security QA automation or business processes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in navigating design and implementation challenges.

What you bring!

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline with 10 years of software engineering experience including:
  • 6 years building scalable web applications using Java JSP Spring REST APIs SQL and modern front-end frameworks (React Angular etc.).
  • 4 years in a senior/Lead role leading large-scale feature development and architecture.
  • Proven ability to write clean maintainable and scalable code.
  • Strong collaboration skills with product managers architects and other engineering stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) and system monitoring.
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to large complex codebases.
  • Excellent problem-solving debugging and analytical skills.
  • Clear and effective communication across global distributed teams.
  • Experience in resolving customer issues and supporting enterprise-grade software.
