About the Role

Black Book a recognized leader in automotive data and analytics is seeking a Senior Associate Automotive Forecasting & Insights to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is designed for an analytical professional with a few years of experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in residual value forecasting and market insights.

Youll work closely with experienced leaders to support and refine Black Books forecasting models analyze industry and economic trends and contribute to insights that help shape decisions across the automotive ecosystem. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Black Books residual value forecasts for light-duty vehicles.
  • Research and interpret automotive economic and regulatory trends that affect vehicle values.
  • Support the creation of reports presentations and market insights for internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with analytics product sales and marketing teams to translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Build working relationships with clients and industry partners learning how to represent Black Book in external discussions over time.


Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Economics Business Finance Data Analytics or a related field (Masters a plus).
  • 35 years of experience in data analysis forecasting finance or automotive-related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with Excel and large datasets; experience with data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with factors that drive vehicle values such as supply/demand interest rates technology adoption or regulatory changes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated initiative curiosity and a desire to grow into a subject matter expert.
