DescriptionSeeking a Software Engineer capable of contributing in multiple roles (e.g. Product Designer software quality system integrations data analysis second level support) to join in-flight eDDL Replacement project in which delivery is currently led by a solution partner. The project involves data centric architecture leveraging cloud services with data integration from sources including Fords CMMS3 (legacy mainframe) and SAP S4 (strategic Material Requirement Planning platform).
- Perform e2open configuration and development on modules utilized for supplier collaboration.
- Position Ford to sustain and evolve the eDDL supplier collaboration capabilities beyond the current solution delivery partner engagement.
- Ensure Fords supplier collaboration platform and integrations function robustly through the transition period from legacy to strategic MRP systems.
- Perform software platform upgrades ensuring that existing capabilities continue to function as designed and new platform capabilities are leveraged where there is suitable business value.
Responsibilities- Learn/expand e2open supply chain platform and software configuration skills to actively participate in eDDL Replacement design implementation validation support and enhancements.
- Collaborate with Ford eDDL Product Manager Tech Business Analyst solution partner and integration partners to deliver solutions for part master data launch part management plant inventory supplier promise part transit cum discrepancy challenges part packaging bulletin board communication and supplier alerts.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements technical system requirements and solution designswith supporting artifacts.
- Manage and maintain work activity in Jira
- Refine and maintain the integration architecture between Ford ERP and other backend systems and the E2open Software in terms of functional data flow.
- Triage issues/defects during all project phases
- Prepare various test documents Unit tests SIT-UAT Test Plan Test Scripts.
- Support quality and validation phases including SIT and UAT
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science/Engineering Supplier Chain or related field with minimum 2 years experience as software engineer.
- Experience in at least one of the following domains: supply chain manufacturing product development purchasing that translates to understanding of supply chain fundamentals along with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Java and HTML front end web software engineering.
- Web UX UI configuration. Web design including UML
- Design implementation and usage of APIs (provider consumer) particularly with JSON data.
- Basic Linux familiarity and navigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication (oral written presentation) and interpersonal skills
Experience integrating from/to SAP S4 or using SAP S4.
Experience designing developing and utilizing cloud-based services particularly leveraging Google Cloud Platform.
Experience (design testing executing) in software deployment activities.
