The Director of Faculty Onboarding Mentoring and Professional Development will develop comprehensive faculty engagement initiatives and support faculty well-being professional development and acknowledgment across the institution and by external entities. The Director will create programs and initiatives that provide comprehensive resources foster a supportive work environment and celebrate faculty achievements. This role is pivotal in supporting faculty success fostering a collaborative academic culture and cultivating leadership capacities across all ranks. The Director will collaborate closely with academic departments faculty governance bodies campus offices senior administration and HR to enhance faculty integration and success professional development and leadership pipeline initiatives.
A Masters degree is required with a Ph.D. preferred in Higher Education Administration Organizational Development Human Resources Education or a related field; at least 5-10 years of progressive experience in higher education faculty development (e.g. onboarding mentoring leadership development); demonstrated success designing and managing large-scale programs in complex academic environments; relevant professional development; strong project management and communication skills.
