Associate Director, Underwriting

Position Responsibilities:

• Liaising with underwriting operations transformation and platform stakeholders to obtain requirements

• Maintain a clear record of change requests and ensure required approvals are documented

• Maintain specification documents (underwriting philosophy and scoping document base question specification and parameter specification)

• Configuring AIS rulebook changes and performing rulebook testing using the specialised AIS tools.

• Deploying updated rulebooks to SIT and UAT and raising request for deploying rulebooks to production

• Providing primary level of support for AIS i.e. initial point of contact for users encountering issues providing guidance trouble shooting

• and escalation to support teams if required

• Work closely with frontend and backend to ensure accurate integration investigate/fix errors and align on deployment schedules

• Support QA/Testers and developers in clarifications where required

Required Qualifications:

• Strong technical analysis design and rule-building skills; ideally with a background in life and health underwriting and/or new business automation

• Documentation skills

• Communication and collaboration skills

• Should possess good knowledge on end-to-end process (front end back end AIS) to understand the impact of rule changes

• Critical and problem-solving skills
