About the role:

The WAIO business requires a dynamic professional to provide advice on State Agreement and manage the coordination of approvals advice from multiple Subject Matter Experts to deliver Approvals Strategies schedules monthly reporting and permitting.

Working across mining and infrastructure projects in Western Australian you will require experience and understanding of WA regulatory approvals.

Reporting to the Superintendent this position requires that you can manage multiple projects and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing business conditions and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

You will be responsible for:

  • Provide technical advice on State Agreement approvals requirements
  • Obtain State Agreement approvals and ensure compliance requirements are identified to enable strategic business planning.
  • Provide advice to Project teams regarding approvals pathways risks and opportunities.
  • Support collaboration between Project teams and Approvals SMEs to coordinate the early identification of regulatory approvals requirements and deliver the internal Permitting process.
  • Develop and maintain approvals schedules in consultation with Planners and SMEs and coordinate monthly schedule updates and Approvals reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with State Agreement and Approvals Advice tasks.

About You

  • Knowledge and experience in the practical or legal application of WA State regulatory approvals.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of ArcGIS the MS Office suite data systems and working with schedules.
  • Strong written oral and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Evidence of managing accurate records and documentation.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
  • Experience in a similar role in mining energy or legal projects would assist.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors Degree (or higher) in relevant field (Physical Sciences Engineering Urban Planning etc)
