Job Summary
Active Directory Engineer
Location: Dallas TX - hybrid onsite 3 days a week
Duration: 6 month rolling contract potential to hire no sponsorship
Other: MCSE and Microsoft 365 Certification (Required)
Were seeking a skilled Active Directory Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise identity infrastructure. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting Active Directory environments implementing GPOs managing DNS and domain services and supporting hybrid cloud integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft technologies excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for secure scalable identity solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Active Directory GPO DNS and domain services.
- Troubleshoot authentication replication and access issues.
- Implement and maintain hybrid identity solutions (e.g. Entra ID Connect).
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams on access controls and policies.
- Document configurations and contribute to best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in AD engineering or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Azure AD and Windows Server.
- MCSE or Microsoft 365 certification required
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and/or military background
- MCSE and Microsoft 365 Certification (Required)
- 3 years of Microsoft engineering experience
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- DNS
- Exchange
- Azure Licensing/CSP model
- SQL
- Other Microsoft products
- Understanding of Microsoft Licensing model
- Creative problem-solving and outside-the-box thinking
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as it relates to Microsoft products
