Job Title: Mid-Level Java Backend Developer with AI
Location: Hybrid San Jose CA 95131 (Onsite 2-3x a week Locals only)
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

Job Description-:
Need experience between 5-8 years only
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust and scalable big data insights platform to drive AI-assisted process automation and deliver actionable insights.
- Develop solutions that combine state-of-the-art Generative AI techniques with rich data to deliver best-in-class automation and user experience.
- Design and implement batch and near real-time data pipelines using Spark Flink and BigQuery.
- Design and implement efficient data models in relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL Druid BigQuery and HBase.
- Leverage cloud-native technologies to build world-class backend platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to deliver features.
- Lead feature or component design reviews and is fully recognized as the go-to developer for that component.
- Participate in architecture discussions and propose and discuss solutions to platform and product changes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and promote a culture of excellence
Skills Needed:
- Proficiency in Java and Spring framework or equivalent
- Proficiency in designing implementing and integrating REST API services
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL HBase DynamoDB or equivalent
- Knowledge of OLAP databases like BigQuery Druid Starrocks or equivalent
- Knowledge of streaming data platforms like Kafka or equivalent
- Knowledge of distributed systems stream processing data model design and cloud-native technologies
- Proven ability to design and write reliable available scalable maintainable secure and performant code
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with AI developer tools and Generative AI technologies is a plus
- Experience with Python for AI workflows is a plus
- Experience with cloud vendor platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) is a plus
- Experience with frontend development is a plus
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of relevant backend software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Java and Spring framework or equivalent
- Proficiency in designing and implementing REST or GraphQL API services
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases including database schema design distributed data processing caching and query optimization strategies
- Knowledge of distributed systems asynchronous processing cloud-native applications and containerization
- Proven ability to design and write reliable available scalable maintainable secure and performant code
- Strong communication skills
Good To Have:
- Experience with big data technologies
- Experience with cloud vendor platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Experience using agentic AI developer tools
- Experience with emerging AI design patterns
- Frontend full stack experience
- Knowledge of payment processing or regulatory compliance industry
- Solid knowledge in Java and experience in design and implementation of REST-APIs Spring Boot.
- Experience in micro-service and high concurrency service design and optimization.
- Experience in large-scale service architecture design.
- Good understanding of database principles and SQL optimization beyond just data access.
- Good understanding and experience of message queue and asynchronous programming.
- Strong communication skills and written English.
- Experience in event-driven service development is a big plus.
- Experience in Big Data technology is a big plus.
- Experience in AI technology is a big plus.
