Location: Dallas TX 75226
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is responsible for surgically scrubbing in and assisting with equipment during cardiovascular procedures. The technician supports Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as a secondary responsibility. Additionally they prepare the procedure room and equipment transport and monitor patients and may handle medications as part of their duties.
Responsibilities:
- Surgically scrub in and assist during cardiovascular invasive procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and functioning
- Assist Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging during procedures
- Transport patients safely to and from procedure areas
- Monitor patients vital signs and status before during and after procedures
- Handle and administer medications as permitted and necessary
- Maintain sterile field and follow all safety and infection control protocols
- Clean and sterilize equipment and procedure rooms after use
- Document procedure details accurately and assist with record keeping as required
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) school and actively pursuing RCIS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
