This contract runs from the beginning of January to the end of April 2026.

Giant Tiger is seeking a Winter 2026 Quality Assurance Internfrom the following programs: Bachelor of Food Science and/or Nutrition.

As the Quality Assurance Internyou will work alongside our Grocery Private Brand Quality and Compliance Manager and have the chance to develop transferable skills and experience for your resume at a top Canadian retailer. Your responsibilities will include sample testing coordinating internal sensory panel data analysis collecting product specification working towards the maintenance of brand integrity of our products and all other fun stuff!

Quality Assurance Intern Role Highlights:

  • Coordinate product testing with third party and/or suppliers to ensure all products meet our quality standards.

  • Coordinates internal sensory panel testing of all products to ensure that all products meet our sensory standards and maintains the test kitchen.

  • Coordinate first production samples and appropriate testing to ensure products meet expectations - sensory and quality.

  • Support managing and maintaining processes to set up and actively track all products to ensure on time delivery. Establishes timelines and cross functional communication.

  • Coordinate requirements related to the development of label copy and packaging design and work cross functionally as required. (For example CFIA requirements nutritional fact information FOP labelling information third party certifications).

  • Assists in reviewing/collecting product specifications from supplier to ensure compliance.

  • Assists in maintaining current and accurate documentation for all private brand products.

  • Handle processes and communications with vendors for non-compliance artwork fees etc.

  • Assist Private Brand Quality and Compliance Manager in day-to-day activates and as directed to support on-going projects.


Quality Assurance InternCandidate Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Food Science and/or Nutrition program.

  • Passion for food branding and quality of food

  • Intermediate MS Office skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Eager to learn

  • Good team player
