The Director of Finance is responsible for a wide range of accounting budgeting and grants tasks and oversees all financial aspects of company to ensure financial stability strategic planning and compliance with grants and regulations. This individual works with the CEO Board of Directors and the Board Finance Committee in developing financial reports and system management to support day-to-day operations as well as long term decision making. This position reports to the CEO and supervises one Staff Accountant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
- Strategically work with the CEO and leadership teams on all aspects of the financial health of the organization.
- Communicate with clarity timeliness and positivity with people of all levels including internal and external contacts.
- Work with the CEO to report as appropriate to Board Treasurer and the Board President as necessary.
- Develop and maintain a collaborative positive functional relationship with staff volunteers and vendors.
- Provide direction to the Staff Accountant and oversee that their work is accurate and timely.
