Job Overview

TD Securities Technology offers a FinTech Software Engineer Rotational Program that is an unparalleled experience where youll gain valuable insight into our vision to Build The Better Bank while also strengthening the core skills and knowledge youll need to launch a successful career. Software Engineers are full time employees participating in a 16 month (4 x 4-month) rotational program where global opportunities and exposure to a variety of FinTech Areas and Businesses will be made available with guaranteed employment upon completion.

The program provides an on-boarding curriculum mentoring rotational training and on the job experience in the core activities of TD Technology as well as ongoing leadership development throughout the rotational period & career.

Software Engineer Rotational Program Experience

Our 16-month rotational program consists of:

• An opportunity to rotate through 4 different Technology teams for 4 months at a time. Each team will expose you to unique projects tech stacks business areas financial knowledge user base and technology team members

How You Will Contribute

• Participate on a team with targeted deliverables working on initiatives designed to develop new functionality improve processes systems and applications which support our key businesses at TD Securities.
• Produce high quality code for various initiatives and ensure defect free programming by testing and debugging using available/appropriate tools and participate in peer code reviews
• Develop new applications/solutions with consistent quality standards; provide code maintenance and support during testing cycles and post-production deployment
• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services applications infrastructure analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery
• Work with technologies such as: JavaScript Angular React SQL NoSql C C# Java Scala Python NodeJS RESTful APIs Hadoop stack (HBase HDFS) Spark API (DataFrame DataSet) enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems (Kafka ZeroMQ) etc.
• Work on Financial Securities-related Technology projects such as: trade capture real-time derivatives pricing & risk mgmt. PNL quant modeling algo execution & hedging big data analytics electronic trading & STP valuations etc
• Learn about financial products (no prior finance knowledge is required!) such as: equity derivatives interest rate derivatives FX spot & derivatives trading (market making algo trading & hedging) fixed income credit derivatives commodity derivatives mortgage-backed securities (MBS) etc.

Requirements

• Graduation date between December 2025 to May 2026 (undergraduate degree)
• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Math or Technology Sciences
• Strong conceptual analytical and problem solving skills; basic knowledge of SDLC
• Excellent verbal & written communication with ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to develop good business relationships with customers business partners and stakeholders
• Familiarity and strength in 1 or more of the following: JavaScript Angular React SQL NoSql C C# Java Scala Python NodeJS RESTful APIs Hadoop stack (HBase HDFS) Spark API (DataFrame DataSet) enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems (Kafka ZeroMQ) etc.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for future sponsorship
• NOTE: No prior finance knowledge is required! We will teach you what you need to know!

The IT Developer III TDS provides system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of systems.

Depth & Scope:

• Subject matter expert in several aspects of the business/ technology and consults with clients and/or project teams on design and/or development issues
• Works on a more diverse range of tasks including research and analysis
• Develops program specifications; adapts integrates codes tests and debugs complex programs; and is responsible for executing all aspects of the development life cycle specific to building/ integrating applications
• Works independently as a lead developer and coaches/guides other team members within area of expertise
• Works with technical staff business and/or vendor to understand complex or multi-faceted problems and often leads the development of detailed/ complex and/or comprehensive solutions
• Works independently or collaboratively with other areas/ team members to meet deliverables and ensure team members adhere to guidelines/ procedures on medium to large scale projects

Education & Experience:

• College degree or specialized training / equivalent work experience
• 3 Years of related experience
• Advanced broad knowledge of technical environment (software and hardware) processes procedures programming languages and operating systems/concepts leading to the development of detailed/ complex and/or comprehensive applications
• Sound to advanced knowledge of the business and/or organization
