Assist with the creation of documentation and processing of document revisions.
Attend manufacturer training classes.
Obtain and maintain the licenses and certifications required for a fire alarm and fire suppression designer.
Assist with inspections and startups as needed.
Provide technical and design support to other departments.
Revise and process redline drawings provided by shop field and engineering staff.
Survey job sites including active data center projects to ensure proper system design.
Assist in the training and development of other engineers.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers as part of professional development.
Comply with company and customer safety policies.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
10 years of experience in fire protection or fire suppression design.
Exposure to multiple fire suppression manufacturers systems (i.e. Kidde Fike Ansul etc.).
Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
Strong desire to mentor and assist with the growth of new or inexperienced engineers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
NICET Level III in Fire Alarm System Design or Special Hazards Suppression Design.
