Metal Sheet Fabricator
Summary
We are seeking skilled Metal Sheet Fabricators to join our team working on a variety of light and heavy fabrication projects. As a Metal Sheet Fabricator you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal sheet components repairing or maintaining metal structures and ensuring that all work meets design specifications safety standards and quality requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings spatial reasoning and mechanical aptitude as well as excellent physical stamina and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Read interpret and work from technical drawings blueprints or CAD designs.
- Cut bend fold press shear roll form and shape sheet metal as required.
- Weld rivet bolt or fasten components; join or assemble metal sections or parts.
- Machine fit and finish metal parts: smoothing edges polishing grinding coating or painting where required.
- Use CNC machinery or manual sheet metal equipment (brakes shears presses rollers).
- Inspect finished pieces for quality: dimensions finish structural integrity.
- Maintain and clean tools machinery and workspace.
- Follow health safety environmental procedures: proper handling of materials (sharp edges metal dust welding fumes etc.).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in metal sheet fabrication pattern making assembly or related metal work.
- Experience in welding fitting use of sheet-metal brakes shears CNC equipment preferred.
- Strong spatial and mechanical aptitude; comfortable with reading drawings and converting them into finished products.
- Precision attention to detail (smooth edges accurate sizing consistent finishes).
- Good physical strength and stamina; ability to handle sheets of metal work with heavy or sharp materials.
- Good safety awareness: ability to use protective gear and follow safety protocols.
- Organized good time management; able to work independently or in a team.
- English Certification (PTE / IELTS) required.

Starting from NZD $24-29.00 per hour with additional allowances

Minimum of 2 years' experience in metal sheet fabrication, pattern making, assembly, or related metal work. Experience in welding, fitting, use of sheet-metal brakes, shears, CNC equipment preferred.
