Job Description
What will you be doing
We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our growing team supporting mission-critical programmes within the UK defence sector. Working on complex integrated systems you will apply your expertise across the entire systems engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through to design integration verification and validation.
This is an opportunity to deliver impactful engineering in a secure high-integrity environment where your work will directly enhance national defence capabilities.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and deliver system-level engineering work packages across the V-model lifecycle.
- Capture analyse and manage requirements using DOORS to ensure traceability throughout the project.
- Develop system architectures and designs ensuring robust interfaces and alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Define plan and execute verification and validation activities producing supporting artefacts and documentation.
- Apply systems thinking to identify risks dependencies and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical electrical safety and software engineering) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support reviews audits and compliance assessments ensuring designs meet defence and safety standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems engineering processes and best practices.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in systems engineering Aerospace Electrical Mechanical or related discipline.
- Proven experience in systems engineering within defence automotive or aerospace programmes.
- Strong working knowledge of the V lifecycle and requirements management using DOORS.
- Experience developing and integrating complex vehicle or defence systems.
- Familiarity with system safety risk management and change control.
- Excellent communication documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
