Job Description
Academic Coordinator ensures educational excellence by managing curriculum supporting teachers and students and fostering communication within the school community. Key duties include developing and updating curricula monitoring teaching and student performance providing academic advising coordinating teacher professional development and ensuring compliance with educational policies and standards. They act as a vital link between administration faculty students and parents ensuring smooth academic operations and an effective learning environment.
Curriculum and Program Management
Develop and Update Curriculum:
Work with academic staff to design revise and implement curricula to meet educational standards and learner needs.
Monitor Programs:
Oversee teaching activities examinations and other academic events to ensure quality and standards are maintained.
Ensure Compliance:
Adhere to educational board regulations and school policies ensuring the academic programs comply with all requirements.
Teacher and Student Support
Support Teachers:
Provide guidance on instructional strategies assist with professional development and offer support with administrative tasks.
Advise Students:
Counsel students on academic goals course selection study habits and career paths.
Monitor Student Progress:
Analyze student performance data maintain student records and communicate progress to parents.
Communication and Coordination
Liaise Between Stakeholders:
Act as a central point of contact between students faculty administration and parents facilitating effective communication.
Coordinate Academic Events:
Organize workshops seminars and other academic programs to enhance the learning experience.
Leadership and Administration
Promote Educational Standards:
Champion and maintain high academic standards within the department or school.
Manage Resources:
Assist in allocating resources and managing schedules and supplies needed for academic programs.
Participate in Planning:
Contribute to school-wide planning marketing and recruitment efforts for academic programs.
Developing a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children. Employing a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children. Observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
