Job Summary
Role purpose
We are looking for a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring customising and extending the functionality of Dynamics 365 F&O to meet evolving business requirements across finance operations and supply chain domains.
You will work closely with functional consultants solution architects and business stakeholders to design develop and deploy high-quality solutions that integrate seamlessly with our enterprise landscape. The role requires strong hands-on experience in X development JavaScript scripting and the Dynamics 365 SDK for extending platform capabilities and integrating with external systems
Qualifications :
- Design develop and implement customisations extensions and configurations in Dynamics 365 F&O to meet business requirements.
- Use X for developing custom logic workflows and reports ensuring high performance and maintainability.
- Leverage the Dynamics 365 SDK REST APIs and OData services to integrate D365 F&O with external systems data sources and services.
- Implement client-side enhancements using JavaScript for dynamic form behaviour and UI customisations.
- Collaborate with solution architects to ensure development aligns with overall ERP architecture and best practices.
- Configuration & Deployment
- Configure core F&O modules across finance supply chain procurement warehousing manufacturing and operations.
- Participate in solution design workshops to understand business processes and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Deploy code and configuration changes across development testing and production environments following release governance and DevOps best practices.
- Testing Troubleshooting & Support
- Collaborate with functional consultants and QA teams to define test scenarios and support SIT and UAT phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues performance bottlenecks and integration challenges.
- Provide technical support for go-live and post-implementation phases ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with business analysts testers and functional consultants to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including designs specifications and deployment guides.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements and adopting emerging best practices in D365 F&O development.
Essential experience & skills
- Proven hands-on experience as a D365 Finance & Operations Developer or AX Developer.
- Strong proficiency in X programming for D365 F&O customisations and extensions.
- Experience using Dynamics 365 SDK OData and REST APIs for integrations.
- Solid working knowledge of JavaScript for client-side scripting and UI enhancements.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for source control build pipelines and release management.
- Understanding of ERP processes particularly within finance operations supply chain procurement and inventory management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues.
- Preferred
- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate Power Apps Dataverse) for extending ERP capabilities.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS Power BI or Electronic Reporting (ER).
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment with sprint-based planning.
