Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
Perform preoperative assessments and develop tailored anesthesia plans.
Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively in line with best practices.
Manage critically ill patients in the ICU including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
Collaborate with cardiac surgeons intensivists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Lead resuscitation efforts and emergency interventions in the ICU and OR.
Supervise and train junior doctors nurses and anesthesia technicians as required.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with international standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Medical degree (MD/DO) with specialization in Anesthesiology.
Fellowship or specialization in Cardiac Anesthesia and Critical Care/ICU.
Valid medical license.
Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia and ICU management.
Strong knowledge of cardiac pharmacology advanced monitoring and critical care protocols.
Excellent decision-making and crisis management skills.
Education
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP) Eligible for or currently licensed to practice in Hawaii Experience or strong interest in medical education Inpatient and outpatient clinical skills OB optional, but welcome Enthusiasm for working in a rural/underserved community and teaching setting Prior faculty or preceptor experience preferred, but not required
