Job Description

Our client who specialises in steel manufacturing is expanding and looking for a CNC Laser and Press Brake Operator with 5 years experience for the Roodepoort / Randburg area.

  • Set up programming and operation of CNC laser (Bystronic) and press brake.
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings and work instructions
  • Operation of CNC laser and press brake including tooling changes
  • Maintain a clean work area and assure safe operation of all equipment. Follow Preventive Maintenance schedule to keep machines in top order
  • Quality assurance for work performed
  • Ability to operate large machining equipment
  • Full understanding of all processes procedures and safety risks associated with the steel manufacturing areas
  • Personal discipline to perform all assigned tasks and ensures product quality
  • Perform self inspection or quality checks of parts and ensure they meet print specifications
  • Excellent dexterity
  • Work independently but also as part of a team


Requirements:

  • High School Grade 12
  • 5 years of experience working with metal fabrication machines in a manufacturing environment
