We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD or DO specializing in Psychiatry . As a Locum Medical Doctor you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of various healthcare projects. Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field of psychiatry.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Psychiatrist.
- Proven experience working in psychiatric settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Empathy and compassion towards patients.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
24-hour call required
Duties: Routine urgent and emergent mental health care suicide prevention and crisis intervention individual and group counseling and discharge planning and reentry coordination
