TheParenting Support Professionalworks with families enrolled in Achievas evidence-based parenting education program. Using theNurturing Parenting Program this trauma-informed family-centered role supports parents in developing nurturing skills navigating daily living tasks and strengthening their connections to community resources. Services may include supervised visitation life skills coaching and advocacy in educational or legal settings.
Support parents in achieving life experiences that reflect personal growth independence and stronger family relationships
Build trusting respectful relationships with parents children and their support networks
Implement nurturing parenting curriculum and strategies during visits and individualized sessions
Support participants in attending appointments court hearings school meetings and community programs
Communicate and collaborate with professionals including child protective services and behavioral health providers
Respond appropriately to crisis situations following established protocols and team direction
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality and integrity in all interactions
Obtain CPR certification within six months of hire
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors degreein Social Work Psychology Education or a related field (required)
Valid Pennsylvania drivers license and properly insured vehicle (required)
Ability to become CPR certified within six months of hire
Strong interpersonal communication and time management skills
Passion for supporting families and promoting self-determination
Must Live in Washington County
