BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSME a Plus.
- 3 to 10 years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with definition and implementation of test automation
- Experience with the use of off-the-shelf mechanical test equipment
- Experience with test execution data collection and analysis
- Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
- Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with thermal vibration and stress analysis and verification/validationExperience with
- Python or other programming languages for data analysis automation or test scripting
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design novel hardware solutions and custom fixtures
- Build new mechanical designs and define validation requirements
- Create test cases and design/implement tests
- Clearly communicate test plans and results with XFN teams
- Support mechanical tester bring up and FA activities
- Own execution interpretation and reporting of mechanical system level validation work status and results
- Ensure thorough documentation of test procedures and results
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and infrastructure
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical issues
