Mercer LAC has an exciting opportunity for the role Process and Project Specialist. This role will be based in Bogotá Colombia.

What can you expect

The Process and Project Specialist plays a critical role in planning organizing and managing resources and processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects and programs within defined scope timeline quality and budget. This role focuses on driving continuous process improvements enhancing overall operational efficiency.

The specialist will apply proven project management methodologies to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders manage project timelines and ensure strict adherence to project requirements. A proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs are essential to delivering impactful results.

Success in this role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Familiarity with project management tools and process improvement frameworks will be advantageous.

We will rely on you to:

  • Manages large-scale projects from start to finish ensuring alignment with organizational goals by planning scheduling budgeting and monitoring progress.
  • Develops and implements strategies to optimize business processes enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
  • Analyzes complex project-related issues identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments of existing processes recommending actionable solutions to address identified gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Analyzes service quality metrics and performance data to identify trends issues and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Leads cross-functional teams and establishes strong relationships with key stakeholders facilitating collaboration and communication to achieve milestones and ensure alignment.
  • Prepares and presents project status reports to stakeholders highlighting key findings and recommendations ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
  • Evaluates project outcomes implementing lessons learned to enhance future performance and efficiency.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management or process improvement roles.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.

What makes you stand out:

  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP CAPM) or process improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • Experience with formal process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Agile.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control in project environments.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Experience working in regional teams.
  • Portuguese speaker.
