Dual Enrollment Academic Counselor
Position Description
Jacksonville State University invites applications for the Dual Enrollment Academic Counselor. The Dual Enrollment Academic Counselor will report to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator for Academic Affairs and will join a team committed to our students success.
In this role the Counselor will work with Dual Enrollment students to provide additional academic resources and support. We recognize Dual Enrollment is high stakes as our students are completing high school graduation requirements at the same time as they are earning college credit. This role is a trusted team member who will provide our high school partners with timely information.
Our team has built a reputation as a responsible Dual Enrollment partner. Through initiatives like our Jax Track advisement model we provide intentional academic advisement to ensure students are completing a planned pathway to their future. We also want to build confidence in our students and credibility with our stakeholders.
Jax States Dual Enrollment program is one of the largest in the state; however this team also wants to ensure we are making every student count. With the university posting overall record enrollment for the past five years the Dual Enrollment Academic Counselor will join the Friendliest Campus in the South at an exciting time and will play an integral role in shaping and expanding this program for the future.
