Description: We are looking for an experienced Quality and EHS Manager to ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer.

The Quality Manager or Quality Assurance Manager will inspect the final product to make sure it has been made in compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations. A great quality manager is thorough and observant with an eye for detail.

They must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition.

The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.

Additionally your objective is to establish a workplace that meets legal safety standards and cultivates a culture of prioritizing health and safety. Your focus will be on preventive measures requiring attentiveness and proactive thinking. Detail orientation is essential especially during emergencies.

Job Requirements:

• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes

• Devise and review specifications for products or processes

• Supervise inspectors technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback

• Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements

• Approve the right products or reject defectives

• Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis

• Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives

• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures

• Support the development of OHS policies and programs

• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels use of machinery etc.)

• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures

• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation

• Initiate and organize OHStraining of employees and executives

• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issuesor non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)

• Oversee installations maintenance disposal of substances etc.

• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy

• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes andhandle workers compensation claims

• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as quality or safety manager

• Conscientious and responsible

• In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards

• Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods

• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures

• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety

• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

• Proficient in MS Office

• Outstanding organizational skills

• Diligent with great attention to detail and a results driven approach

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics

• BSc/BA in business administration safety management engineering or relevant field is preferred

• Certificate in occupational health and safety is preferred

• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001 etc.)

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Shift/Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
