This Controls Engineer Level 1 position will be responsible for low complexity automation systems and this role a candidate will work with the engineering team to identify and implement opportunities for converting manual tasks into automated sequences to be performed by a standalone controller PLC computer or robot.
What you will be doing...
Level I & Level II:
Designs tests and supports low-complexity controls and automation systems ensuring usability and supportability.
Programs PLCs using ladder logic to manage automated systems.
Utilizes SCADA systems and Python scripting for automation tasks.
Works with data acquisition hardware (DAQ) and communication protocols for machinery connectivity.
Programs and implements smart cameras and vision sensors for automated inspections.
Performs mechanical and electrical assembly of automation systems.
Implements safety circuits and hardware to ensure system compliance.
Identifies new equipment for automation and develops communication strategies.
Provides support to the manufacturing floor for controls-related inquiries.
Maintains and repairs control systems as needed.
Understands electrical schematics and 3D models for system design and troubleshooting.
Connects smart tools and automated systems to Ignition-based interfaces.
Applies general knowledge of HMIs for system control and monitoring.
Works with communication protocols databases and networking in automation systems.
Utilizes robotics vision systems linear actuators servos VFDs and motion/motor control for automation.
Level II:
Supporting entry-level Engineers
What we are looking for...

Bachelors degree in technical/science or international equivalent required
General Six Sigma knowledge; Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Level II:
Bachelors degree in technical/science or international equivalent required
3 years of experience in a related field
