Job Summary
Viwinco is seeking a dependable Tugger Operator to join our Materials this role you will be responsible for the safe accurate and timely transport of material carts throughout the production facility. Using powered tugger equipment you will keep production lines and supermarkets supplied according to schedules and kanban signals while ensuring empty carts are staged cleaned and prepared for reuse. This position requires strong attention to safety communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment..
Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $21.00 hour
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate tugger vehicles with multiple carts through the facility.
Deliver full carts to production lines and supermarkets using schedules and replenishment signals.
Return empty carts to staging areas and clean carts with brushes/vacuum as needed.
Record cart movements using barcode scanners and/or manual tracking forms.
Organize carts at central staging and production areas.
Expedite delivery of remakes or priority materials as directed.
Connect transport disconnect and place carts in assigned locations (requires bending pulling pushing lifting).
Assist with delivery of other materials as needed.
Provide back-up support for material handlers.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues.
Follow designated traffic lanes pedestrian protocols and PIT safety rules.
Communicate with supervisors team leads and down-packers regarding shortages discrepancies or hazards.
Support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies or safety risks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) strongly preferred; certification provided by company.
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Reliable punctual and able to follow standardized work instructions.
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus but not required.
Physical ability to walk bend crouch push pull and lift during shift.
Work Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing setting with frequent PIT and pedestrian traffic.
Exposure to seasonal temperature changes and production noise.
Required use of PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection.
