Our team is seeking aTransportation Engineer 9-12 for our Bureau of Field Services Team. We are looking for someone who can embrace the challenges of meeting our goals and exceeding the standards!
This position supports the statewide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Program. This position works with Senior ITS engineers in the development of specifications and procedures to ensure successful project implementation; through project reviews monitoring and documentation of device integration status and collecting and providing documentation to the Department of Technology Management & Budget (DTMB) regarding ITS field devices. This position works closely with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Transportation Operation Centers (TOCs) and central office ITS staff to document system operations issues related to ITS infrastructure field network or ITS applications and develop innovations for use statewide.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12) level. Based on education and experience candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
ExperienceTransportation Engineer 9 - 12
Possession of a registered professional engineer license as required by the State of Michigan may besubstituted for 6 months of experience at the Transportation Engineer 9-12 levels. This substitution mayonly be used once for any employee for qualification of appointment or early reclassification.
