As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow we are seeking a Workers Compensation Specialist to join our Central Business Office team in Jacksonville this role youll serve as a key point of contact for patients adjusters and nurse case managers while ensuring compliance with workers compensation processes accurate documentation and timely claims management. GENERAL SUMMARY
ðº What Youll Do
- Answer incoming calls and emails for the Workers Compensation department and set up new patient charts.
- Schedule appointments obtain authorizations for visits surgeries and physical therapy.
- Provide end-of-visit documentation to insurance carriers and process outgoing claims.
- Communicate with adjusters case managers and providers regarding patient work status and care needs.
- Process Workers Compensation forms and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements state and federal regulations and clinic policies.
âWhat Were Looking For
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or a medical business office setting.
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation processes and payer-specific requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks resolve issues and support both patients and providers effectively.
