What you bring to SBHG:

  • A masters degree or Ph.D. in Social Work Psychology or Marriage Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university is required.

  • It must be a California BBS-licensed LMFT LCSW or LPCC.

  • Requires two years of direct service experience with the mentally ill preferably adults.A Valid California Drivers License is preferred.

  • CPR certification is required and must be obtained from an approved agency (such as the American Red Cross) within 90 days of employment.

How you will make a difference:

This positions primary responsibility is to assist the Clinical Supervisor in the oversight of programing and service delivery. It also serves as a resource for therapists on documentation performs diagnostic evaluations and provides therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical and Program Oversight: Assists the Clinical Supervisor with program oversight data collection and continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts. This includes maintaining positive relationships with community partners and acting as a liaison with the County.
  • Client and Case Management: Manages a partial caseload providing mental health services and case management to clients and their families. This role is also responsible for coordinating case assignments and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Therapeutic Services: Conducts assessments screenings and provides individual group and family therapy. This role may also include leading group facilitation and other team members.
  • Communication and Training: Responsible for communicating with referring parties about referrals waitlists and program openings. This position may be required to lead team meetings and represent the Clinical Team at various community meetings. Training team members in assessments group facilitation and other programmatic areas may also be required.

Division/Program Overview:

These 16-bed facilities are a 24/7 alternative to urgent care or hospitalization for adults with mental health challenges or those who have recently experienced a crisis. The programs provide a safe homelike setting where individuals can live on-site for a short period while they receive intensive treatment. Clients can get physical and psychological evaluations counseling and mental health and case management services. The goal is to help them learn basic living and interpersonal skills and provide assistance with locating permanent housing.
