You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Remote Maintenance Manager is in charge of planning and overseeing maintenance work at several sites making sure that all equipment infrastructure and systems work as well as possible. This job is in charge of making maintenance plans leading a group of technicians making sure that the company follows the rules and making sure that preventive and corrective maintenance activities are as effective as possible. The person who gets the job will need to have proven leadership skills technical knowledge and experience managing maintenance in a remote or distributed setting.
Main Duties:
Oversee and lead a group of maintenance workers and contractors at several sites.
Make and carry out schedules for both preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment running as much as possible and the facility as reliable as possible.
Manage remote monitoring systems and use technology to keep an eye on how well equipment is working find problems and quickly respond to maintenance needs.
Check and control budgets for maintenance contracts with vendors and buying tools and supplies.
Make sure that all safety rules OSHA standards and company policies are followed.
Create and keep up-to-date standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for the maintenance team.
Regularly check and audit facilities to find ways to make them better and lower the risk.
Oversee emergency response and if necessary coordinate plans for recovering from a disaster.
Look at maintenance data to find patterns make processes better and suggest capital improvements.
Keep accurate records of work orders maintenance activities inventory and compliance paperwork.
To make sure everything runs smoothly you need to be able to talk to people from different departments vendors and stakeholders.
Help new maintenance staff get settled in get trained and grow professionally.
Requirements:
a bachelors degree in facilities management engineering or a related technical field or the same amount of experience.
2 or more years of experience managing maintenance ideally in a setting with multiple sites or operations that are far apart.
A lot of knowledge about building systems HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical maintenance.
Good at using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and technologies for remote monitoring.
Great at leading organizing and talking to people.
Ability to look at complicated data find problems and come up with good ways to fix them.
Experience with making budgets managing vendors and following the rules.
Preferred: OSHA or other relevant maintenance certifications.
Willingness to travel when necessary.
Pay: $38.00 to $55.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
