Federal Work Study - Esports Video & Graphic Design will support the Esports Program by editing video content and creating graphics for social media live broadcasts advertising and on-campus events.
This Federal Work Study role provides hands-on experience aligned with students degree programs by producing entertainment instructional and promotional media for ArtU addition this position will complement and reinforce a Federal Work Study students educational program or vocational goals direct work experience in the students chosen field of study in both managing and design.
Responsibilities:
Capture studio-quality photographs and video as needed.
Utilize recorded content to produce videos for YouTube and other platforms.
Manage and oversee video recording editing and delivery timelines.
Create graphical assets for ArtU Esports (web social banners digital ads event posters).
Design visual packages for live broadcast/streaming (overlays slates lower thirds interstitials).
Provide design guidance for physical products (event signage merch sponsor materials).
Provide guidance for digital asset creation and file organization for team use.
Follow ArtU Esports brand guidelines; help maintain a consistent visual identity.
Collaborate with the creative team; present work to the Director of Esports for review.
Contribute to an overall content calendar and video/graphics messaging strategy.
Qualifications:
Experience using video production and editing equipment/software.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro After Effects Photoshop Illustrator) or comparable tools.
Knowledge and understanding of motion graphics preferred.
Strong graphic design fundamentals (layout typography color hierarchy) for digital and print.
Ability to meet committed timelines with efficiency and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills; receptive to feedback and iteration.
Able to work effectively in independent and team-based settings.
Self-motivated; excellent time management and organization.
Ability to work some weekends and regular hours (up to 20 hours per week).
Passion for games and Esports.
Portfolio link (video and/or design) strongly preferred.
Onsite Work Procedures:
Check-in at start of shift with the Director (or designee) for task assignments.
End-of-shift handoff: deliver progress updates and log hours per University timesheet policy.
Store work files on approved onsite drives/servers and follow lab/lab-equipment protocols.
Adhere to studio safety equipment handling and room reservation procedures.

Pay Rate: $19.18 per hour

Length of Employment: The students starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation.
