The Security & Crisis Management (SCM) Flex-Shift Security Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to train to and ensure compliance with our SCM policies procedures and programs in the areas of Physical Security Asset Protection & Loss Prevention Emergency Preparedness & Response Crisis Management Workplace Violence Prevention & Response and Investigations. This role will be flexible in start and end time in order to best support the needs of the business in relation to operations at Appliance Park located in Louisville KY.Key Responsibilities:
Primary point of contact for security matters for 2nd and 3rd shift business operations (flexshift range of 2 p.m. to 6 a.m.).
Oversight of contract security personnel for off-shift operations.
Ensure appropriate response to emergency or support requests made by partnerorganizations (i.e. Human Resources (HR). Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) MedicalManufacturing Distribution etc.).
Provide incident response and threat mitigation guidance for off-shift operations.
Support HR EHS Medical and Plant Operations Teams with investigations and otherpersonnel matters as needed.
Conduct ongoing assessment of Appliance Park security posture (people processes andtechnology) to ensure accurate and effective deployment of resources to meet currentrisk environment.
Monitor and ensure operability of access control and asset protection technologies atAppliance Park.
Support design and delivery of continuous improvement projects related to accesscontrol and asset protection processes and technology for Appliance Park.
Develop and/or deliver emergency preparedness and security training as needed.
Ensure response/support events and trainings are captured in Incident ManagementSystem and managed to timely closure; Support data collection tracking and trending.
Provide ongoing and needs-based liaison with emergency personnel: fire EMS lawenforcement.
Emergency Preparedness and Incident Response (30%)
Assist in developing or updating emergency preparedness and response plans/tools asneeded for Appliance Park.
Ensure appropriate and timely response of security to events at Appliance Park.
Provide incident response as needed with on- call availability 24/7 for significantsituations (with the exception of approved time off where a back-up has been identified).
In collaboration with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and SCM team memberslead or support emergency preparedness training for operations teams.
In collaboration with EHS and SCM team members support required annual drills for 2nd& 3rd shift operations (i.e. Evacuation Take Cover Workplace Violence CrisisManagement).
Partner with the SCM HQ/Operations Leader and cross-functional team members tocreate CAPs from drills and assist in driving to closure.
Incident Management: ensure security support and response events are captured inGensuite and monitored to timely closure; corrective actions identified capturedcommunicated and assigned in Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Gensuite; work withSCM Louisville Operations Leader to ensure Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) worked toclosure.
Maintain liaison with local emergency personnel and first responders.
Investigations (25%)
Lead or support cross-functional teams investigating violations of GEA policy or lawinvolving a loss of or damage to GEA assets (i.e. people property information brands).
Drive progress conduct root cause analysis identify/assign corrective actions highlighttrends and track closure.
Work with and liaison with federal state & local law enforcement as needed to supportinternal and external investigations.
Complete supporting documentation for investigations to include a daily Incidents &Investigations Summary of events to provide to SCM team to ensure awareness.
Ensure security incidents and investigations are documented in SCM systems.
Contract Security Oversight: Personnel Systems Training and Performance (15%)
Manage off-shift contract security to KPIs and ensure adherence to negotiated contract;ensure accountability and ongoing process improvement.
Conduct off-shift roles review and personnel assessment to ensure effective resourcealignment and professional standards are being met; ensure accountability to roleexpectations and professional standards.
Deliver and validate training for contract security personnel and ensure continuousprocess improvement based on current risk environment.
Drive progress identify/assign corrective actions and track to closure any items neededfor continued security officer training to aid in response success.
Physical Security: Asset Protection and Loss Prevention (15%)
Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of Appliance Park as requested. Identify andassign corrective actions a needed.
Review and audit physical security policies and procedures at Appliance Park to verifycompliance and ensure continuous process improvement as needed.
Create/implement new physical security protocols/procedures as needed.
Ensure end user training occurs related to physical security policies procedurestechnologies.
Upload and maintain site records in SCM systems.
Monitor and ensure operability of access control and asset protection technologies ( cameras horns distress alarms) at Appliance Park.
SCM Awareness Training and Compliance (15%)
Working with SCM Team members support security and crisis preparedness training atAppliance Park.
Become certified in AVADE or ALICE within year one of service (paid for by company) andprovide instruction to Louisville-based employees.
Assist in developing educational topics for Louisville sites; utilize employeecommunication mechanisms to push out security-related awareness communications topromote security awareness on general best practices new procedures and the greatwork of contract security force and SCM team.
At the direction of the Business Security Director (BSD) the SCM LouisvilleHQ/Operations Leader or Sr. Security Manager conduct training promote awarenessand verify compliance of SCM policies procedures and programs at Appliance Parkthrough technology solutions simulation drills and hands on training.
Upload and maintain training records in SCM systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or 5 years relevant work experience.
3 years corporate security or EHS Emergency Services (Fire/EMS) lawenforcement or military.
3 years experience in emergency preparedness and response required.
3 years personnel management experience.
Experience managing vendor to contract or equivalent experience managing personnel toexpectations.
Strong team player able to collaborate with cross-functional personnel at all levels withinthe Company.
Change oriented - able to effectively generate process improvements; support anddeliver change; confront difficult circumstances in creative ways.
Effective Communicator.
Self-motivated.
Demonstrated ability to collect and evaluate data/information to make judgments;anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve.
24/7 on-call availability for emergency situations (with the exception of approved timeoff).
Preferred Qualifications:
AVADE Certification.
ALICE Certification.
Knowledge of Red Flag Indicators as it relates to Workplace Violence Prevention.
Experience working with Unions.
Familiarity with physical access control systems software and hardware.
Familiarity with the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) Program.
