Job Summary

Salary/Position Classification

  • 14.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prop Research & Acquisition Research appropriate props based on the script directors vision and historical context. Source purchase rent or create props needed for productions within budget constraints.
  • Prop Organization & Inventory Maintain an organized props inventory cataloging all items for easy access. Track prop usage condition and storage between shows.
  • Prop Maintenance & Repair Clean repair and maintain props to ensure they are show-ready.
  • Modify or customize props as necessary to fit the productions needs.
  • Work closely with the director set designer costume designer and stage manager to align prop choices with the overall production design.
  • Attend production meetings and rehearsals to stay informed on prop needs and changes.
  • Assist with striking the set and returning props to storage after the production ends.
  • Properly store props to preserve them for future use.

Minimum Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative
